What an amazing week this has been! It was truly inspiring to see so many developers coming together to learn, create, and share. These last two days were focused primarily on labs and networking.

Thursday

I spent the morning in the UIKit and Layout Lab and focused primarily on issues I was having with the Cocoa Touch Libray. As the day progressed, I went on to the Health and Fitness Technologies Lab and Xcode Open Hours. I went through all my projects to see if there was something that I needed help cracking. The Apple Engineers were very helpful. I found it interesting that they were organized by very granular skillsets. For example, there were engineers that were very strong in working with the UICollectionView but probably lacked in other areas such as AutoLayout. This balance of skillsets allowed you to essentially hop from engineer to engineer as your question or solution evolved.

Thursday evening was concluded by an awesome concert by Panic! at the Disco, an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. People started pouring in around 8 pm and it lasted well into midnight. It was a well-deserved break from the constant influx of information during the week, and it allowed developers to take a step back and enjoy the moment.

Friday

On the last day of the conference, there was a sense of accomplishment. Some developers made use of the last sessions that were given, while others spent their time networking. I did a little of both. It was a bit melancholy to finally have reached the end of the such an eventful week. I think we all enjoyed the extra time away from the office! Needless to say, all good things must come to an end. I left this conference with a renewed energy to become a better designer and developer. This was definitely a remarkable and inspiring experience.
